Before I post my Christmas day posts, I'm waiting on pic approval from members of my extended family. In the meantime, I'll start on the ski trip. A good time was had by all.
First, Greg and I went to TN a day earlier than everyone else. So we stayed at a nice hotel with a balcony over a running river. It was so nice. We got to go to sleep listening to it.
The next day, we went with my brother, Mark, and his girlfriend, Christy, to Dollywood. It was coooooold! But around 2pm most of the roller coasters opened up. It had to be above a certain temperature in order to run them. That night we met up with the rest of the group and went to our cabin. My parents rented this fabulously big cabin for the long weekend.
On Saturday, we went to Ripley's Wonder Works museum. This was by far, Greg's favorite part of the trip! It is essentially a science museum for kids. A lot of fun and very educational. I enjoyed going around taking pics of everyone with my new camera. Man, that thing works fast! After the museum, we went to the go-cart track. I didn't get pics of the larger group of us going, but I did get Mark and Christy the second time. It was a triple decker go-cart track and we all had a blast!
After that, we decided it was time to head up the mountain to ski. It was so very crowded and took us quite awhile to get to the lodge.
Once there, everyone decided to ski (except for my dear hubby) and most needed to learn how. Greg did a good job taking pics and carrying all our stuff. He couldn't go because he would have surgery the next week. :(
The next day we had to leave. We took my cousins home to Charleston with us, since we had to pick up our boys. Then we headed back to Georgia. What a fantastic time we had, though! Here's some, no, a lot of pics that were taken on the trip. I'm sorry there are so many, but this is my yearly documentary! Hold on...here we go!
The beautiful mountains and some pics we took in front of them. I love overlooks on the side of the road!
This is the view from our hotel. It was so refreshing.
Welcome to Dollywood!

Mark and I meeting up on the slope. We were filming each other. I'm in the white and red ski outfit, and Mark is in the pink and black. He borrowed Christy's pink jacket because I complained that I couldn't spot him in the black and white jacket. :)

Your trip looks like it was lots of fun! I am so jealous of the ride pics. It'll be at least another 30 weeks before I get on any rides.
Great pictures! You know I adore a picture post. Wow on the cabin! Niiiice!.
Am I reading right? Is the hubby having surgery this week? Or did he have it already? Because I thought he did. Shoot me an email when you get a chance!
Sounds like a good time was had by all. We have been to Dollywood a couple of times. Speaking of thrill rides, did you do the Coal Mine!
Wow looks like you guys had a ton of fun. How's Greg doing? I didn't go to the frg stuff but that's cause James will be here for at least part of the underway, and I didn't feel like dealing with the Drama. Hope you all are doing well.
You guys are so stinking cute! What a great vacation.
